F. Richard Wilton Jr., Inc. was established in 1953. Starting out small, the company grew rapidly. As new products were introduced to the industry, Wilton added them into the scope of the company's work. In the state of Virginia, the firmed performed the first EIFS application using a Dryvit finish system, the first thin coat plaster installation, the first metal stud and drywall partition, the first prefabricated panel shop and the first installation of demountable partitions.
In 1994, Mr. Wilton's daughter and son-in-law bought the company. Today, Scott and Melissa Brannan, serving as President and CEO have successfully transitioned the company into its second generation by continuing to adhere to Mr. Wilton's ideals of construction excellence.
In 2009, their son, Taylor Brannan, joined the firm as an estimator and project manager after graduating from Auburn University with a B.S. degree in Building Construction. He is LEED AP BD+C certified and currently serves as Vice President.
